The Pond Hopper guide service started because of my passion for fishing and my desire to help others gain a true appreciation of the sport of kayak fishing

Small lake kayak fishing is a great way to spend quality time on the water while enjoying the beautiful scenery of many of New Jersey's small lakes and ponds.

New Jersey offers many exciting paddling and fishing destinations, from the numerous trout stock streams to the many small lakes, there is something for everyone.

What I Do

The Pond Hopper offers kayak fishing trips in northern and central New Jersey small lakes.

Fishing on Native Watercraft, sit on top kayaks,  using artificial hard and soft lures.  Native Kayaks are stable and offer plenty of leg room and storage. Super comfortable seating.

I advocate (CPR) catch photo and release so others can come back for another day of fishing.

Largemouth and Smallmouth bass are our main target,  however, Pickerel, Crappies, and Bluegills are also in the mix since in most waters these fish seek similar types of bait and structure as  Bass. Light spinning tackle is used, generally 6 lb. or 8 lb. test line.

You say you have never fished from a kayak before, ....no worries. I will have you casting, paddling and feeling like you've been doing this for years by the end of your fishing day.
